National Sculpture Society
The purpose of the National Sculpture Society (NSS) is to promote excellence in figurative and realist sculpture throughout the United States, to which end its programs are directed. NSS is a not-for-profit organization whose membership includes some of the world's finest sculptors, architects, art historians, conservators, and other allied professionals. The first sculpture exhibition in the United States was staged by NSS in 1895. The NSS publishes Sculpture Review on a quarterly basis, which is often referred to as the foremost figurative sculpture magazine in the world. In 2007, both the fiftieth anniversary of the magazine and the seventy-fifth annual exhibition of the society occurred.
