xylography

A printing technique that involves carving text in relief upon a wooden block. When inked, the impression is transferred to paper. The oldest known printed works were produced by this method in Japan and China during the 8th and 9th centuries. This method of wood-block printing appeared in Europe in the 14th century and eventually inspired Johannes Gutenberg to create type pieces out of metal.

I have been using 527 for my artwork for 13 years. The best glue. The packaging was excellent. The delivery service was timely.

This item is certainly not what it used to be. The paper is thinner in the pages. The covers are thinner. They went from 2 zippers to one. Basically the overall quality went down while the price went up. Stall a great biner but very disappointed.

I bought this and used it instead of wallpaper paste to decorate rooms using free maps from states and illustrations and photographs from cook books, travel books bought cheap at libraries and garage sales. It works well and allows me to change things on a whim. This is the best I've used so far.
